Comments on this Text

There are two parts to this blessing: Abraham and his family will be blessed by becoming great, and Abraham will in turn become a blessing to others. One way to read this text is to understand that it is, in fact, our Judaism which enables us to make positive contributions to the universal challenges facing humanity.
